Title
Intersections with Line of Sight Concerns

Summary:
Town staff has been given a list of intersections within Town limits that have concerns about line-of-sight issues. The intersections that have been identified to date are:
1. Roebling Road North and Overbrook Drive
2. Eagles Nest Drive and South Garden Circle
3. Winston Drive and Bluffview Drive
4. Rosery Road and Eagles Nest Drive
5. Indian Rocks Road and Eastleigh Drive
6. Alexander Road and Druid Road South
7. Coe Road and Druid Road South
8. Oleander Road and Osceola Road

The Public Works Department is working jointly with the Code Enforcement to take the following steps at each of the above noted locations:
1. Have the entire intersection Right-of-Way staked by a Professional Land Surveyor
2. Bring one of the traffic engineers from the Town's General Engineering Consultant (GEC) services out to each intersection, after being staked, to field evaluate that location,
3. The traffic engineer will provide recommendations on how to improve safety at that location
4. Town staff will work hand in hand with Code Enforcement and each resident to take the necessary actions to improve safety at each of the above noted locations

In addition, Town staff has asked a second traffic engineer, from our General Engineering Contract (GEC), to do a Town wide assessment of all of the intersections within its limits. This assessment will help identify any other intersection that may have line of sight concerns. Staff is anticipating that town wide intersection assessment proposal at the beginning of May 2022.
