Park, Recreation, & Tree Advisory Board Objectives
Summary:
Board discussion on key responsibilities of the board and of future board/staff collaborations about parks, recreation, tree operations and projects. As we transition to this newly formed board, staff would like to discuss what we want to achieve together moving forward. Staff envisions the board to provide constructive feedback and direction, get involved and help create a community connection by being our community champions.
The Strategic Plan identifies many objectives for Town staff. Staff has identified the following Strategic Plan goals and objectives in which the Board can assist the Town in accomplishing in the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year.
Objective B.1.3 Evaluating opportunities to preserve existing green spaces in order to encourage community use and promote community gathering
(Goal F.5) Town-wide events and programs that foster a sense of community in Belleair. (Objective F.5.1) Increase resident participation in events and programs
(Objective F.5.2) Identify and implement the types of events and programs residents would attend
(Objective F.5.3) Evaluate the cost-benefit of events and programs
(Objective F.5.4) Develop a strategy that defines the objectives of Town events and programs
