Declaring Commission Seats for March 2019-March 2022 Term
Summary:
Section 2.01(c) of the Charter calls for an election to be held on the second Tuesday of March of each year in which the term of the Mayor or Commissioner expires; such elected officials shall hold office for a period of three (3) years. The only candidates to file by the final filing date for the two Commissioner seats were Tom Kurey and Tom Shelly. These candidates are unopposed and an election was not held in accordance with chapter 101.1581(7) of the Florida Statutes.
