Summary:
Ms. Patricia "Petey" Henning, the property owner of 400 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, is applying to the Historic Preservation Board and the Commission to place her home on the Town of Belleair Historic Registry. This property was nominated for historic designation in July of 2018 by the Town's historic preservation contractor, as it meets the designation criteria set forth in Belleair's Code of Ordinances.

Previous Commission Action: On July 24, 2018, the Historic Preservation Board received its final report from JMT that included research and documentation on 51 properties and structures in Town that JMT nominated for placement on the Town's Historic Registry.
As one of these properties was 400 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, the applicant now wishes to follow through with JMT's nomination to place her home on Belleair's registry.
Background/Problem Discussion: Ms. Henning's ranch style home at 400 Ponce de Leon Boulevard was built in 1954 in the Belleair Estates subdivision, and was nominated by JMT in 2018 for placement on Belleair's Historic Registry.
Per the attached Florida Master Site File Form for this property, distinguishing architectural features of the home include wide overhanging eaves, a multi-plane fa?ade, a decorative concrete cap over the fireplace, and an attached garage. The roofed front porch with ornamental ironwork is also a noteworthy feature.
