Proclamation Recognizing Florida City Government Week
Summary:
The Florida League of Cities has proclaimed the week of October 22 - 28, 2018 to be Florida City Government Week. The purpose of this declaration is for local governments to engage with its citizens, in order for them to learn more about local government, its functions, and its employees.
This year, Town staff worked with the Belleair Teen Council in order to create and share an educational video that highlights the Town’s departments and services in honor of this mission. The final video was also submitted to the Florida League of Cities for their annual Municipal Youth Council Video Competition, and we hope to be selected as a winner of this contest and to see our video featured on the League’s social media during Florida City Government Week.
Attached is a proclamation of the Town of Belleair, adopting the week’s dedication.
