Previous Commission Action: The Commission voted to appoint the members present as the Audit Committee on October 2nd, 2018.
Background/Problem Discussion: This year the Audit Committee will be performing an auditor selection process through public solicitation for proposals from interested firms. The process will include this first meeting to agree on terms for the RFP, and a second meeting where proposals will be reviewed. The committee will have the option to request the presence of firms to perform a brief interview before the committee. Once the committee determines they have received sufficient information to perform their evaluation all firms will be ranked based on their qualifications and provided to the Town Commission for selection. The proposal amount submitted can be a factor for consideration, however it cannot be the sole or predominant factor.
