Adoption of Pinellas County Stormwater Manual
Summary:
During the last submittal of the Town’s MS4 permit Pinellas County was in the process of revising the standard Stormwater Manual that the Town adopts in accordance with NPDES Standards. In January of ’17 Pinellas County recommended that the manual be adopted to the Local Planning Agency. In April the Board of County Commissioners made effective the use of the manual.

Background/Problem Discussion: The Town does not produce its own Stormwater Manual due to the high cost of production and updating with new standards. We currently refer to Pinellas County and utilize the standards provided within to execute our NPDES requirements.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Town Commission adopt the Pinellas County Stormwater Manual to be utilized as the Town standard in this year’s NPDES and MS4 permit application.
