First Reading of Ordinance 520 - Public Nuisance Noises
Summary:
Ordinance 520 as proposed would repeal and replace current code language of section 74-484. A brief summary of the proposed changes are:
-Addition of clearly defined terminology.
-Removal of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) conformance language.
-Removed specific decibel level limits and replaced with “plainly audible” for sound measurement and enforcement.
-Addition of federal holidays to prohibited days and hours. .
