This policy defines standards for the naming or dedication of public facilities, public spaces, and memorial structures within the Town of Belleair. The policy also establishes a process for the naming of these facilities or structures, and sets parameters around their naming options.

Previous Commission Action: The Commission reviewed the language of this policy on August 15, 2017 and approved it unanimously. Now, it has been converted into policy format and paired with an approval resolution so that it can be formally adopted by the Town of Belleair.
Background/Problem Discussion: This policy was created as a reaction to conversations sparked over the naming of Magnolia Park. At that time, the Commission decided it was best to establish a formal process around the way the Town approves naming/dedication rights in the future.
