Background/Problem Discussion: There is an accumulation of sand, sediment and debris in a box culvert located at Roebling Rd N that requires dredging for removal. The plan is to construct a temporary dam, deploy hydraulic dredging equipment that will extract the sediment and pump it into a dewatering truck for transportation to its eventual disposal site. The project has an expected duration of 60 days.
Financial Implications: The cost would be $42,480.00 and would be funded from Small Roadway Projects. This would be a piggyback of pricing on a bid awarded by the City of Tampa in 2016.
Recommendation: Approval of the contract with Gator Dredging.
Proposed Motion: Award of contract for cleaning the culvert on Roebling Rd N to Gator Dredging in the amount of Forty-Two Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Dollars ($42,480.00).
