Body

Previous Commission Action: None.

Background/Problem Discussion: After being flown in Belleair, the Fort McHenry flag was framed and hung inside of Town Hall on display. However, the frame that housed the flag did not protect it properly, as it deteriorated over the years. After seeing its state earlier this year, the Belleair Community Foundation offered to pay to restore and reframe the flag for the Town, in order to honor its history within our nation and within the Town of Belleair. The flag’s restoration was completed in May, and it was hung in Town Hall in June. Today marks its official unveiling and presentation to the Commission.
