Summary:
The Town sold its wastewater operations and infrastructure to Pinellas County in 2003. It is now recommended that the Town close the enterprise wastewater fund and transfer any remaining balances to the General Fund.

Previous Commission Action: Sale of wastewater operations to Pinellas County in 2003.
Background/Problem Discussion: With the sale of its wastewater operations and wastewater infrastructure to Pinellas County, the Town was no longer required to fund the operation. There are no capital assets owned, nor long-term debt owed by this fund.
The Town now acts as a pass-through, collecting fees set by Pinellas County and remitting the collections to Pinellas County on a monthly basis.
Recommendation: Staff recommends closing the Enterprise Wastewater Fund and transferring any balances to the General Fund.
