Termination of BCF Agreement - Hunter Memorial Park
Summary: In anticipation of a significant expenditure to update the park and replace the giant oak with a mature tree, the Belleair Community Foundation (BCF) is seeking to terminate the 2013 agreement.

Previous Commission Action: The Commission approved a contract with the BCF to partner with the Town to rebuild Hunter Park in 2013, which included a modest annual amount to support park maintenance and maintain a fund to repair amenities.
Background/Problem Discussion: The BCF’s only purpose is to benefit the Town, and the annual invoice for maintenance does not encompass everything the Foundation desires to do to support our facilities and programs. They have asked to terminate the contract in favor of a more fluid arrangement which allows the Town to make requests based on need rather than wed the BCF to a specific annual amount and project.
