Summary:
Each year, as part of the Truth-in-Millage ITRIM) process, the Town of Belleair is required to set a maximum millage levy in the month of July

Previous Commission Action: None
Background/Problem Discussion: The proposed budget was developed based on the current rate of 6.977 mills per $1,000 taxable value. This will generate $612,377 in new revenue based on an increase of property values of 6.86%.
Expenditure Challenges The Proposed Budget, excluding Capital Projects and Enterprise Funds, is balanced. Staff will continue working on these funds and will present a balanced budget at the next Commission meeting.
Financial Implications: Sufficient revenues are required to maintain operations in the Town.
Recommendation: Staff recommends maintaining and advertising the 6.977 millage rate.
Proposed Motion Move approval of the proposed 6.9777 millage rate for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.
