Drafting Action Items for the Strategic Plan
Summary:
Town staff is working to finalize action items and timelines for the final version of Belleair’s first strategic plan. Once completed, a draft of all goals, objectives, and action items will be brought to the Commission for review in July.
However, staff would like early input from the Commission on action items for two particular objectives pertaining to public meetings and feedback. Drafting these action items tonight will then allow staff to include them in the next round of Commission review.

Previous Commission Action: Town staff and the Commission have been working on the completion of Belleair’s strategic plan over the course of the past year.
Background/Problem Discussion: The below goal and objectives fall under the “Communication” theme of the Strategic Plan, which is defined as “fostering a connected, engaged, and accessible community.”
Goal 2: A Town commission and staff that is accessible and responsive to communication and feedback from residents and community members
Objective 2.1: Develop strategies that combine online and in-person opportunities for residents to explore their preferences and offer their input on high priority issues
