Previous Commission Action: Town Commission awarded a five-year contract for Professional Auditing Services to Davidson, Jamieson & Cristini P.L. for fiscal years ending 2019 thru 2023.
Background/Problem Discussion: The Town of Belleair has received external auditing services for many years from Davidson, Jamieson and Cristini, P.L. On November 16, 2018 the Town Commission awarded a five-year contract for Professional Auditing Services to Davidson, Jamieson & Cristini P.L. (DJCPL) for fiscal years ending 2019 thru 2023. In recent months, the firm has been working towards a merger with Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, P.A.
The Town of Belleair will continue to work with the same partner and staff from DJCPL as in past years. It is expected that there will be no change in services rendered to the Town after the transition.
Attached is a copy of the contract assignment from DJCPL to Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, P.A. An engagement letter between the Town and the new firm will be provided as well.
Financial Implications: None.
Recommendation: Approval of Addendum to contract for Professional Auditing Services and assignment of contract to Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, P.A. as provided.
