Major Event Special Relief Permit Proposal - 2025 The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican
Summary:
The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican is an LPGA tournament scheduled for November 9-15, 2026, at the Pelican Golf Club (1501 Indian Rocks Rd). Outlyr is requesting a Major Event Special Relief Permit from the Town of Belleair.
This process requires two (2) public hearings by the Town Commission. The first hearing will take place on Wednesday, August 19 and the second hearing will take place on Tuesday, September 15. Outlyr will be mailing a postcard to all Belleair residents, inviting attendance and feedback at these hearings.
Previous Commission Action: The Town Commission has approved the Major Event Special Relief Permit for this annual LPGA event in years past.
Background/Problem Discussion: Please find the completed application with all exhibits attached.
Financial Implications: The applicant will pay the Town a fixed application fee of $1,200 prior to the first hearing. Additionally, the applicant will be quoted and invoiced for additional fees related to Police and other Town staff services prior to the second hearing. All fees are to be paid in full before the event occurs.
Recommendation: Staff recommends approval.
