Discussion of Charter Review Process
Summary:
Every ten years the Town Commission establishes a Charter Review Committee to conduct a comprehensive assessment of our governing charter. This process ensures the document remains compliant with current laws, functions efficiently, and accurately reflects the needs of our community. The committee will review, evaluate, and recommend necessary amendments for the upcoming ballot. Staff is seeking input on how the committee would like to proceed with the review methodology at upcoming meetings (e.g. specific section analysis).
