Construction of memorial courtyard at Hunter Park
Summary:
Hunter Park was constructed to honor those in the service of our armed forces. The park was largely built with the support of the Belleair Community Foundation and other Belleair residents. In honor of one of the most supportive residents staff would like to construct a courtyard area surrounding the existing St. Francis statue. A seating area was constructed per the approved plan. Staff is requesting to amend that plan to include a memorial courtyard to include pavers, planters and additional landscaping.

Previous Commission Action: Commission previously approved a plan and budget for Hunter Park that included a bench area surrounding the St. Francis statue.

Expenditure Challenges The project will be completed mostly in-house and the total cost of the project will be $3,242.74
Financial Implications: None. The cost of the project is to be donated by the Belleair Community Foundation.
Recommendation: Recommend approval for the construction of a memorial courtyard to be located at Hunter Park.
