City of Clearwater Roadway Transfer Agreement for Watkins Road
Summary:
The City of Clearwater owns a portion of Watkins Road west of Bay Avenue. It has been determined to be in the best interests of both municipalities to enter into this agreement to transfer title to the road from Clearwater to the Town of Belleair. Clearwater will retain ownership of their water main located at the north side of the road with the ability to access and maintain the line through a right-of-way easement. Additionally, Clearwater agrees to mill and repave the road prior to the finalization of the transfer. The cost of the project will be shared jointly between both municipalities.
Recommendation: Staff recommends approval.
