Amendment to the Forward Pinellas MPO Agreement and Member Appointment
Summary:
The Forward Pinellas Board adopted a resolution approving a reapportionment plan which requires the agreement to be amended to allow for the expansion of the board membership. This plan has been approved by the Governor and appointments to the board must be made by October 7th.
Inland communities have been split into two seats to allow for shorter rotation times. Belleair is part of the Inland North and is first up in the rotation to serve on the new board. The three-year term will begin in January of 2025.

Previous Commission Action: The Town Commission entered into the Interlocal Agreement for the Creation of the Pinellas County MPO in October of 2014.
Recommendation: Staff recommends approval and requests member appointment.
Proposed Motion: Please make two separate motions.
Agreement Amendment: I move approval of the amendment to the interlocal agreement for the creation of the Pinellas County Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Member Appointment: I move to appoint (name) to the Inland North seat for the term beginning January 2025.
