Closing of the Enterprise Wastewater Fund
Summary:
The Town sold its wastewater operations and wastewater infrastructure to Pinellas County in 2003. It is now recommended that the Town close the enterprise wastewater fund and move any remaining balance to the General Fund.

Previous Commission Action: Sale of wastewater operations to Pinellas County in 2003.
Background/Problem Discussion: With the sale of its wastewater operations and wastewater infrastructure to Pinellas County the Town was no longer required to fund the operation.
The Town now collects fees set by Pinellas County and remits the collections to Pinellas County on a monthly basis.
Recommendation: Staff recommends closing the enterprise wastewater fund and moving any balance to the General Fund.
