Major Event Special Relief Permit Request - 2024 The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican
Summary:
The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican is an LPGA tournament scheduled for November 10-17, 2024, at the Pelican Golf Club (1501 Indian Rocks Rd). Outlyr is requesting a Major Event Special Relief Permit from the Town of Belleair.
This process requires two (2) public hearings by the Town Commission. The first hearing will take place on Tuesday, August 13 and the second hearing will take place on Tuesday, September 17. Outlyr has mailed a postcard to all Belleair residents, inviting attendance and feedback at these hearings.

Previous Commission Action: The Town Commission has approved the Major Event Special Relief Permit for this annual LPGA event in years past.
Background/Problem Discussion: Please find the completed application attached.
Expenditure Challenges: N/A
Financial Implications: The applicant has paid the Town a fixed application fee of $1,200. Prior to the second hearing in September, the applicant will be quoted and invoiced for additional fees related to Police and other Town staff services. These additional fees are to be paid before the event occurs.
Recommendation: Staff recommends approval.
