Second Reading of Ordinance 559 - Chapter 2 Revisions
Summary:
The Commission has charged the Town Attorney with the task of conducting a complete review of the Town’s Code (excluding the Land Development Code) and to bring forward any recommended revisions to the Code which would alleviate any of the aforementioned potential concerns with the Code’s current text. Ordinance 559 sets forth the recommended revisions based on the Town Attorney’s assessment of the remaining provisions in Chapter 2.

Previous Commission Action:
Adopted on first reading at the 12/6/2022 regular meeting. Previous updates to Chapter 2 of the Code were made through adoption of Ordinance 548, which significantly revised Article V, Division 2 (Procurement) of Chapter 2, and Ordinance 554, which created a new Article VI of Chapter 2 (Land Acquisition).
Proposed Motion: Move approval of Ordinance 559 on second reading.
